WHY SOY WAX?

Soy wax derived from a vegetable - soybeans. Soy is a renewable resource harvested right here in the US. In fact, soy is a Midwestern crop, so a lot of the supply comes from our home state of Minnesota. Soy wax is biodegradable and cleans up with soap and water. Soy wax has a lower melting point than other waxes thus lasting longer. 

WHY WOOD WICKS?

Because we're from Minnesota of course! As Minnesotans we take our fires seriously. Mid-summer by the lake and mid-winter on the lake you can find us by a bonfire. As such we could not imagine a flame without lumber. Wood wicks crackle ever so softly while burning, which makes us feel like we are fireside even if we're not. Is there anything more comforting than the sound of a flickering fire?

ARE WOOD WICKS AS LOUD AS A BONFIRE?

No, sorry, it's such a small scale fire that it's much more subtle than a bonfire. It does crackle softly, but it's not a raging bonfire, which is probably a good thing. ;) Also, we find the crackle comes alive on the second burn and beyond. The first burn is slow going, but very important because you want the melt pool to reach the edges of your jar. 

WHAT ELSE IS IN YOUR CANDLES?

We use 3 ingredients - 100% soy wax, natural wood wicks, and premium quality fragrance/essential oil blends. Nothing else. No chemicals, no additives, nothing you can't pronounce. That is very important to us. 

DO YOU HAVE A SHOWROOM?

HOW QUICKLY CAN I GET MY ORDER?

All items are made to order. Our processing times range from 2-5 days for retail orders and 5-10 days for wholesale orders.

I CAN'T GET MY CANDLE TO LIGHT, WHAT GIVES? 

It is important to keep wood wicks trimmed to 1/4 or less and free of black char to keep them burning and crackling properly. Simply break or scrape off the char and discard it before each burn. 

HOW DO I PREVENT TUNNELING?

Soy wax has a memory and will only burn as far as it did on the previous burn. It is important to allow the melt pool reach the edges of the jar on every burn. This will prevent the candle from burning down the middle.

WHY IS MY WHITE CANDLE TURNING YELLOW?

We do not add UV inhibitors to our candles or any other unnecessary chemicals. As such, if left exposed to direct or indirect light, your candle may darken. We suggest storing your candle in a cool dark place to keep it white. If your candle does darken, don't be alarmed - it does not affect the burn or quality at all.

HOW DO I USE REED DIFFUSERS?

When your new reed diffuser arrives, be sure to dip the ends of your reeds into the bottle and then flip them so the soaked ends are up. Instant scent! After that, simply flip once a week for a continuous scent. Our reeds have been known to last more than 6 months!
